Google screen below when the search
term "restylane" is used. There are over 66,000 sites which reference
"restylane." What are the chances YOUR site will show up in the first three
pages (the ones that really count)?
How can I get better website placement in the Google search system?
An adword doesn't necessarily place your site listing itself in a higher
position (though it may..Google doesn't share that info)
But what it CAN do is direct the reader to your site...kind of like a paid
directory assistance.
An adword is used to place your site ad in the top search
pages, resulting in far more exposure than having someone "happen" onto your
site listing by scrolling through possibly hundreds or pages.
An adword is simply a short text ad that catches the eye of the readers and
directs them to YOUR site. More importantly these readers can be
Geographically Targeted.
This means that you can choose to have your ad displayed ONLY to potential
clients in your selected area.
How can I target people who live in my practice area?
That's the beauty of Adwords. These ads are highly selective. You can choose
just how far you want your reach to go and which search words or phrases you
want them to show up under.
Only want potential customers who live in the metro area of your city who
are looking for a dermatologist who specializes in acne scarring?? Google
will serve up your ad ONLY to those who are looking for what you offer and
where you offer it. After all, what good does it do to have someone in
Michigan click your ad (which you pay for) when your business is in South
Carolina? And why pay for for that wasted click?
Costs??
Adwords are priced according to demand for various keywords. A heavily
used keyword will result in higher "cost per click". But you can
completely control your ad budget. You can pay a higher amount and get
top placement or a lower amount and get fewer presentations of your ad or
placed on pages farther into the search.
As a general practice, if you select geographical targeting, you will
also get higher placement for less cost.
We encourage anyone who wants to increase website exposure to consider
Google ads. (By the way, we do not get commissions on these ads. Our job
will be to create an effective ad, select the proper keywords and
corresponding pages on your site, and set up the ad system....services you
can purchase from us or do on your own if you wish to invest the time.)
How do Adwords integrate with my Newsletter?
A particularly effective marketing tool is to use the adword to invite the
searcher to subscribe to you newsletter. A subscriber offers you a complete
source of information plus they have demonstrated an interest in your
practice. AND these new readers will be in the locale you desire. As an
increasingly effective way to reach your targeted local market, it, the
costs are often far less than print ads.
